Screen Mirror is a useful tool that allows users to transmit audiovisual content from an Android device to any other screen that has a content receiver like, for example, Chromecast. With Screen Mirror, you can 'cast' the screen of your Android and send the images on the screen directly to a browser, to a device with Chromecast connected, or even to some players such as VCL.
Screen Mirror is really simple to use and the app itself has a quick yet comprehensive tutorial on the main tab: to make use of the app, you just need to have both the cell phone and the screen where you want to send your content connected to the same Wi-Fi network. After enabling the content receiver on the other device (for example, connecting Chromecast to a projector or TV), simply click on the button at the bottom right of the screen where the 'Cast' icon appears. From there you can add the available casting devices. Once you have selected the relevant device, any video you play on your cell phone will also appear on the connected screen.
You can alter different values of your casts in the options, adjusting the quality, for example. Pause the streaming at any time by simply using the shortcut in the notification bar. By tapping it again, the streaming will resume without any problems. In this way, your smartphone functions as a remote control.
